Setting Release for a looped sample in NSE
I don't own the NW2 but I'm going through the Nord Sample Editor and wonder how the release of a decaying sample that has a different character at the end of the sample is handled if I want the middle of the sample to be looped (during sustain). I'm guessing that it won't play the rest of the sample after stop and just apply release on the looped selection.

Re: Setting Release for a looped sample in NSE
Correct, if the sample is made to loop indefinitely (not loop with defined fade out), the sample will sustain according to the filter and amp Decay settings, and upon releasing the note (or lifting up on the sustain pedal), the sound will fade out based on the release settings.clickclack777 wrote: 22 Dec 2025, 22:43 I don't own the NW2 but I'm going through the Nord Sample Editor and wonder how the release of a decaying sample that has a different character at the end of the sample is handled if I want the middle of the sample to be looped (during sustain).
