Black Friday prices?

Post by yadayada »

Hi everyone, I'm very much a guitar player but ever since I came to know about the Nord Stage 2, I've been completely enamoured by it and it has given me even more reasons to return to playing the piano just to hear its beautiful sounds. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford it right now but would very much like to know whether there are any Black Friday prices for such a premium instrument? I'm an international student and it's only my 2nd year in the US, so what do you guys in the states think? As of now, the best deal seems to be the bundles offered by kraftmusic.

I'm not sure which action you are looking for. Their offer for Nord Stage 2 Compact 73-Key Stage Piano STAGE ESSENTIALS BUNDLE for 3699 looks pretty good. The only concern is the keyboard stand they offer. It looks weak and cheap.

Thank you for your reply! I just ordered the the 88 key version bundle from kraftmusic. Can't wait!! Is there anything else I should check to make sure everything is in working order other than testing all the keys?

Nord will certainly not grant any Black Friday special. So it's up to the dealers to occasionally place special offers for whatever reason.

Just be aware that ALi Banba and such are "selling" new Nord stage 4s with seats, stands and earphones, for $500. What a bargain for an empty promise.
Beware - only use reliabel dealers

Actually, it's the regional distributors that would decide to do this, or not. In the US, they only do coordinated discounts when they need to move inventory to make room for new products, but the timing is dictated by Nord's product cycle, and not the season.

FYI, in the US if you order B-stock from certain reputable dealers, you routinely get ~10% off list for what appears to be an open box yet brand new item. I've bought maybe 6 or so keyboards that way, also PA gear and other pricey items. 10% off on a $6k keyboard (or $20k PA!) is nothing to sneeze at.

However, if you're the type that often buys and returns many keyboards, don't go this way -- you'll pay for restocking etc. unless the unit arrives damaged.
I think I have gear issues ....
