On of the main things it does it tell the mainboard which keybed is connected.

Update - the issue was addressed in OS v1.52 (2025-08-21).
"Half Moon Switch setting was present (but non-functional) on 88 and 73 models. This is now only present for Compact model"

TLDR: works for me (stage 4, compact 73), LED does not behave now as expected.

https://www.nordkeyboards.com/update-hi ... e-history/

But, the LED still not functions as expected. This is the behavior on my stage 4, compact 73:
Left Position: SLOW (this is OK)
Middle Position: STOP MODE (this is OK)
Right Position: It moves to FAST but LED STOP MODE remains on (this is NOT OK). The expected behavior is that LED STOP MODE will turn OFF.

I updated Clavia Support.

Is it really so important that the Stop Mode led stays on? What matters is that the Leslie goes to Fast (a real Hammond has no leds, the Half Moon position is/was the actual indicator)

The way you describe it is how it‘s been for ages (always? it‘s like this on my S2EX).
Makes sense, doesn’t it?
Engaging brake mode means that it will go from either slow or fast back to brake / static mode..
It‘s an indicator that when you disengage fast speed (or slow speed), it will go back to static (stop) position…

The behavior comes in handy when you want to switch from either speed back to static state, without pressing the stop button every time.

K_rami is referring to an expected behavior when using the Half Moon (not the buttons), but I also see no practical reason why leds behavior should be different in that case, as I wrote.
