Assigning Vibrato to Left Perdal

Post by ReubenJohn »

On my Nord Piano 6 I've gone into Shift Pedal and tried assigning the Synth Vibrato to the Left Pedal. When I play say a Strings sound nothing happens when I press the left pedal (but the vibrato button next to the volume control still works). Has anyone had success with operating vibrato with the pedal?

Is the Vibrato set to Pedal mode (see NP6 manual for how to set the different Vibrato modes) in that Program’s Synth Section?

Ahrr....Thanks. I see now there is a section in the Synth to select Vibrate Pedal anf it does work. Its a pity it dosn,t seem to be program specific - because I lose soft pedal function when going back to a piano sound.

Yes, that is the limit, Vibrato setting is Program specific as the setting is part of Synth section, but Pedal settings are global.

You can anyway use a dedicated on/off pedal for Vibrato, connected to the Foot Switch input, as an alternative
