Has anyone got near Supertramps Logical Song Wurli?
Dear people,
I have been looking at SuperTramp's Logical song. The Wurli part's sound.
The nearest i have found so far is not a Wurli but "Bright Vibe Mk1",. It's close but not perfected yet. It's not percussive enough.
Has anyone tried to get this sound?

I haven’t played this (or any Supertramp songs…love ‘em though!) but I think the wurly on those recordings is played HARD. Maybe try the lighter keyboard touch? You wouldn’t need to play as hard to get the high velocity sound. Here’s what people on the electric piano forum have to say: https://ep-forum.com/smf/index.php?topic=6833.0

Thank you.
I also found this isolated keyboard part.
Looking at the original video there is more than one keyboardist, a second is thumping out a big sound (on two boards) in teh latter part of the song.

Wow that is a pretty cool isolated track! Yes I remember that there were two guys that played keys in that group. Not a lot of groups like that. Well there’s the Band…I’m sure there are others

Thank you Fred. This sounds fantastic.
I downloaded it onto my desktop and tried to download it into Nord Sound Manager 9. First attempt said the file was successful but nothing happened, second attempt It said the file was incompatible file format for my Nord Stage 4.
My current thinking is this impossible to import a NS3 program, but the Privately made File Viewer for Nord Stage = helps you see the programs architecture. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=19939
From here you can manually create
Is this still the case?

In the thread linked by Fred there is also a good description of how to get that sound on a NS2 (which can be easily ported to any other NS or NE)
Sample: Wurlitzer 2 Amped Lrg. 5.3
Volume -4 DB
Effekt: Chorus1 Rate 60 Amount 7,5
EQ: Drive 0 Bass -3,5 Mid Freq. 1,2 kHz Mid +7,4 Treble +6,0 db
Compressor 2,0
Hall: Stage1 4,5

Did you try Dyno MK II (1:40) or Logical Wurly (1:62) ?

Re: Has anyone got near Supertramps Logical Song Wurli?
I have a patch made for that with a split for the Elka Rhapsody string ensemble and another one for the Hammond B3 part. I'm not happy about the Wurly sound but it gets the job done.
