Hi All,
I'm a newbie here - so I apologise in advance if this question has already been answered..
I have an issue with creating my .nsmp files in the Sample Editor. I have been creating sample patches to trigger samples layered underneath a piano patch on my Piano 3. The samples are assigned to just three notes, so i can trigger them whilst playing the piano parts, and I don't want the samples to play anywhere else outside of their assigned zones.
Although I've set my .wav sample zones to just these specific trigger notes, on the sample that is the lowest in pitch and assigned to the lowest keyboard note of the three samples, it will play for the whole rest of the keyboard below it (pitched or unpitched) once I've uploaded the .nsmp into my Nord Piano 3, regardless of the fact that this zone is greyed out on the Sample Editor. An obvious workaround is to use the split point function on the hardware, but I need the piano patch to sound right the way through 88 keys, and would love to assign the samples just to the three notes I need, as a layer beneath the piano patch. Anyone else encountered this quirk?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Issue with sample zones in Nord Sample Editor v4.32
Hi and welcome to NUF,
you need to define "Silent zones" on Nord Sample Editor to get what you are looking for (see https://www.nordkeyboards.com/software/ ... -editor-4/ "Zone range & root keys" section) but they are supported only strating from .nsmp3 (V3 and following).
On previosus .nsmp versions (V1 and V2) you need to create a mute .wav sample and use it for the zones that you need to be muted, see also this older thread viewtopic.php?p=79752&hilit=mute+sample#p79752
