OLED Screen in Synth section of Nord stage 3 gone black

Hello,

I've acquired a Nord stage 3 keyboard 2 years ago and it has been working fine until now.

I have noticed today that it looks like that the screen on the synth section of the keyboard has gone almost black. I'm wondering if you could advise on what my options could be ?

I don't know if it's a loose connection and maybe I could try checking if the ribbon cables for the screen are fitted in correctly but if I need to replace the screen could you by any chance advise me where to have this repaired and give me an estimation on how much this would cost me for the part and repair ? Syntaur seems to come back quite often for ordering the part but I'm not sure how to fix this myself.

This exact thing happened to me, I purchased the NS3 in 2017. The Synth OLED went dark one day. I opted to have a professional replace it after watching this video, as it is more involved than connecting a ribbon cable:

I think it is worth having an authorized Nord service center do the work. It cost me a total of $280 including the part.

I have watched that exact same video yesterday and I also don't feel confortable dealing with this repair myself. I just opened the panel litteraly 5 minutes ago and just tried unplugging and plugging back in ribbon cable but unfortunately no change so I think I'm going to go ahead with the repair as this gear is just too expensive to start risking breaking it.

I'll show the part to my local repair shop and hope they won't charge a crazy amount of money for it !

By any chance if you don't mind could you send me the invoice stating how much it cost, I could use that with my local repair shop to try to negotiate if they are charging an unreasonable amount of money for the repair...

Hello everyone.
I think the problem isn't with the screen; it's more of an upstream issue.
I replaced the screen myself with a new one, and the problem returned after about 6 hours of use.
I'm going to have to send my keyboard to an electronics technician.
I will keep you informed of the progress.

Did you find out what the problem was? My Stage 3's main screen went dark recently so I'm looking to replace it, but I'd if there is some underlying issue with the main board I'd rather address that first.
