Hello and Thank you for the reply. If I understand the meaning of "sum up" correctly, what you are suggesting is some kind of splitter cable that will plug into channels 1 and 2, and then the other single end will go to the mixer? Am I understanding you correctly?

So, no. That wasn't what I meant in the first place. But yes, there are multiple ways of summing up the stereo signal:

1. Internally: [Shift][Panel A] is the button combination for "Mono out". Which will set sounds and effects to mono (1 channel) as a global setting (not per-program).

2. in a mixer: you can also sum up your input inside a mixer if you have subgroups or the like. Probably not for you as you said you are short of channels on your mixer.

3. on a speaker: if your speaker has multiple Ins, you could feed stereo into it and let it sum it up to mono on the last step of the chain.

If I remember well, there are different preferences about those options among the forum members.

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you. Since I am limited to just 1 channel in the mixer, I will use Mono Mode coming out of channel 1.
On other keyboards that I have and have used in the past, there is always a Left/mono jack. I don’t see that on the NS3.

Right. Instead of a Left/mono jack, the button essentially turns both the left *and* right outputs into mono jacks. This could conceivably be useful for something like sending one output of the board to a local amp and the other to the main PA.

With the exception of the EQ. and the close mic setting,- sounds way too "wobbly" - is how I have it set up. I can always fall back on my GSI Burn- once I'm done whining.

If you're really that dissatisfied, you should just get a Ventilator and be done with it. I've used a Ventilator for every Nord Stage gig dating back to 2011 when I started using the NS2 and up to present with my current arsenal of NS3 units. The Ventilator is an incremental improvement, though it adds a special wooden airiness to the sound.

I use the internal NS3 sim for some rehearsals and for when I'm using it in one-off situations, so I think it sounds great even without the Vent.

Have owned a Vent.Didn't like it.Have a GSI Burn now.
