Post by Mr. Marko »

how do I power up a NS4 in test mode?

I need to check PB calibration...is there a document to be shared?

As far as I understood, PB has been calibrated automatically during powering-up in the previous Nord models. That's what I'd expect for NS4 as well.

What exactly is your issue? You might need to check with national Nord support.

PB stick likely needs replaced as it is not stable...I know how to do the swap...however my NL3 documentation has a full test mode by holding down buttons during power up and I suspect ALL Nord models have a similar routine if I can get access to a NS4 doc.

the NL3 routine has a full compliment of tests...panel switched / knobs / LEDs / PB sweep test that reveals all sins...

A few thoughts; in case you haven't already tried them:

1) vigorously exercise the PB stick back and forth

2) open the unit and reseat cables / connectors

3) Have you tried reinstalling the S4 Version 1.46 OS? -- just a few randumb thought that might help.

And, if/when you find the diagnostic mode keystroke sequence, please post it.
