I have a question to those with vast experience with the stage 4 or 3 keybed.
How strong withstanding is the keybed?
I know nord stage is a pretty strong withstanding gear but since im new to the instrument less than a year, i would like to know to what extense is the instrument resistance.
You are probably wondering why is this guy asking beyond knowledge, well to be honest today i caught my daughter leaning towards the instrument keybed with her hand(creating pressure)trying to create balance with her body because she needed to disconect something from the wall oulet behind the instrument. I got upset and told her not to do it again, that the instrument is no walking stick.
I don’t want to be over- preocupied or be to picky with the instrument although i worked hard to buy this instrument cash so that being said is this event something that i should be worried of or preocupied?( also because of triple sensors on keys)
Im still learning all aspects of the nord stage 4 so thats why im asking questions. Any knowledge here is going to be gladly appreciated and is going to avoid me to over-react in the future if i know how resistant is the stage 4. Thanks in advance for the support

Re: NS4 keybed quality
This question is meaningless if you don't tell us which action.
Regardless, they are all very robust and useful for many years.
My NS2 HA88 from 2011 (first unit to show up in the US) is still flawless. My NS3 Compacts I've been touring heavily since 2018 are flawless. I expect no less for NS4.
It's not something you should be spending time worrying about, unless the action isn't to your liking. I literally BEAT THE SH*T out of my Nord keyboards and they have not let me down. It's gonna be ok.

Hi eliwwjd,
Nord instrument are robust enough for normal use when the weather isn't rainy.
Water doesn't mix well with electronics...
the Nord are not waterproof, and the instrument shouldn't be used as a chair !
A knock on the keyboard leaves a mark.
Just because it's a solid construction, doesn't mean you can do anything!
Take care of your instruments regardless of the brand,
avoid dust with protection and you will ensure a long life for the instrument.
