Perhaps higher sales prices for Clavia Nord products in USA
The government of the united states of america has just imposed import duties of 25% on many countries such as: Mexico, Canada and China.
Since Europe is now also on the list, prices for Clavia Nord products in USA could rise to 25% in the worst case scenario.
A Nord Stage 4 would therefore cost around USD 7.000.-

Re: Perhaps higher sales prices for Clavia Nord products in USA
Speaking as an American (who doesn't approve of tariffs), at this point it doesn't matter if the Stage 4 88 is $6000, $7000, or $10,000. It's so expensive that only institutions, professionals, studios, or rich amateurs will be buying one ... and for these groups the $$ are not a factor.
For the rest of us, cost does matter, and we carefully look at the competitors like Yamaha and Korg to see what are getting for our money. I seriously hope the upcoming Electro 7 is priced for the general market, because if it isn't, and Nord tries to bleed $4500 or whatever for one, they will lose a lot of customers. Nord is great but it's not THAT great.
If I have $6000 to spend on keyboards, why would I buy a Stage 4 when I get a Yamaha CP88 and then one or even two other boards for organ and synth?

Expensive keyboards have always existed throughout history, especially in the 80s. The Yamaha DX1 e.g. cost around USD 14,000 back then. Not to mention the Fairlight CMI, which was in the price range of USD 15,000 to 120,000 at the time.Gambold wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 18:39 Speaking as an American (who doesn't approve of tariffs), at this point it doesn't matter if the Stage 4 88 is $6000, $7000, or $10,000. Maybe we're going really back to this time when only a few people (famous artist, institutions etc.) can afford certain high-end keyboards or stage pianos.
Because of the NE7, I fear a drastic price increase. Prices for the NP6 have increased by almost 30% compared to the NP5, which was released 4 years ago. For the NE7, which came onto the market 7 years ago, the price increase will be similar or even more drastic.

Your fear is quite founded, because, once you factor in inflation, the Piano 6 88 is only about 250-300€ more expensive than the Piano 5 88 was when it was released.Wolfgang T wrote: ↑04 Feb 2025, 21:24 Because of the NE7, I fear a drastic price increase. So inflation alone will make for quite a considerable price hike over the previous model.

I love the Nord stuff, but I was at the NAMM show last week and saw and played the new Roland V Stage keyboards which appear to be NORD clones. Laid out like the Nord with the Organ section to the left, the Piano section in the middle and the Synth section and Effects on the right, with a better display and buttons to select more patches, even the keyboard casing is red. 76 and 88 note versions. I LOVED them, they sounded and felt great. They are a little heavier than the Nord keyboards. If Nord prices skyrocket, I would have to check out the pricing on those keyboards. I agree with what Gambold said a few posts above this one.
Of course it's always possible that we are jumping the gun on big Nord price increases. The Roland might have bigger increases and still be cheaper, who knows at this point?

According to a German reviews stated the retail price for the NP5 was EUR 2.899, which is why I stated a price increase of almost 30%, because the NP6 is currently sold for EUR 3.699.

From a price point of view, the new V Stage from Roland is certainly a serious competitor to the NS 4 in the USA.maestrosteve wrote: ↑05 Feb 2025, 08:17 I love the Nord stuff, but I was at the NAMM show last week and saw and played the new Roland V Stage keyboards which appear to be NORD clones. However, in Europe, where the price difference is not that great, I believe that the V STAGE will not represent much competition to the NS4.

When you factor in inflation, 2900€ in 2021 is equivalent to about 3300€ today.Wolfgang T wrote: ↑05 Feb 2025, 16:36According to a German reviews stated the retail price for the NP5 was EUR 2.899, which is why I stated a price increase of almost 30%, because the NP6 is currently sold for EUR 3.699.
