Double organ? Is it really so useful in Electro product ? Double piano? It's the backbone of the piano range at Nord, not very relevant.
Technically we've had a double organ in the Electro since Day 1. There has always been an upper and lower organ section, where you can stick a controller keyboard on the bottom and have a dual manual organ. So yes, it's very useful.
Just this morning, I speculated a dual-manual Electro model with two waterfall keyboards. Would sort of work as a C2 Organ reimagined with the full piano and sample synth capabilities of the Electro. Don't know if it would ever be reality, but it was a fun thought.

So I was looking at some other boards yesterday. Crumar, Viscount, Continental. And looking at the form factor of those units, it made me think I want an Electro that has a flat top so you can put a small synth or more pedals on top. Maybe even with a dedicated cover en legs so it would look more like a Rhodes or something. I know it would shake up the whole idea of what the electro looks like since the beginning. But it’s ok to have dreams right?
Nord Organ3 announced 10th Jan
Nord Piano 6 announced 17th Jan
So could they announce the Electro 7 on 24th at NAMM.
These incremental updates/improvements are OK but what about a brand new instrument? I suggested the Electro Stage last year but what about the Electro Wave?
Anyway not long now. Nord will drop another next weekend!

That's pretty optimistic. Would be very dramatic to release three new boards (AND a new Grand sample) in the three weeks before NAMM. Considering the company's torpor of the past few years, it's almost impossible to conceive.
NORD normally brings one device onto the market every year.
As two devices have already been released this year 2025, namely the NORD ORGAN 3 and NORD PIANO 6, it is unlikely that the ELECTRO 7 will come onto the market this year.

Starting to look like my wallet can rest easy for another year. Nord announced these two new products on Fridays, so there is a very, very, very slight chance they may do it again tomorrow. But I'm not holding out hope anymore.
My wallet is starting to exhale.

Indeed looks like there will no Electro 7 this year. don't get why they have released a new organ - there is a lot of competition from Hammond, Crumar, Viscount etc. I think that market is saturated. They would surely sell loads more E7s - new users, people upgrading, or just a great second board. And now the Roland V-Stage is sitting between the Electro and Stage series. What's going on at Clavia?
I suppose it gives me another year to shift my E6!
1) Organ
---- 2 layers with faders
---- drawbars + leds
* If they really want to dare, then they will finally implement motorized drawbars. But I don't believe. It's more probably they wait to do this on NS5
2) Pianos
---- 2 layers with faders
---- 1gb
3) Synth/sampler
--- 1 layer with fader
--- no pitchbend / no modweel
4) keybed
---- 61/73 sw
---- No more option to piano keys
5) same oled display
I think that, with this type of configuration, the clavia would place this instrument in its own place, removing the danger of autophagy in relation to the NS4.
