I recently bought a Nord Wave 2 and I wanted to sync it over DIN MIDI with my Novation Summit.
No matter what I did it would not sync to the Summit. I tried it the other way round, no luck.
Tested the cable. It is ok.
Then I tried a Roland J6 (the new litte small ones) and it synced...
Now I changed my Summit to an Arturia Polybrute and again. The W2 will not sync.
Is this some known problem or am I doing something wrong?
Are those devices actually sending the MIDI Clock? You can check on their manuals if they do or how to enable it, or verify with a MIDI Monitor on computer
if with J6 it works, then NW2 has no issues and I'd investigate the other sources anyway, maybe their Clock is not stable?
In general, as you can read on its manual the NW2 is just passive with regards to External Clock sync, no settings are related or required, if a valid MIDI Clock is detected it will drop the Internal and sync to it (as it does with your J6)
