Will nord show new Namm 2025 instruments ??

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

Will nord show new Namm 2025 instruments ??

Post by hugoka »

I wonder if Nord will finally present new instruments that would bring something new and not just slight improvements in subsequent versions. It is no longer possible to sell instruments compared to the competition

I'm not expecting anything ground-breaking - their instruments are actually selling well as many people like the concept, sound, quality and reliability.

Apparently they will! According to Piano Man Chuck on his latest video anyway - not sure how he knows?

The Electro 6 is now 6 (7?) years old -- just saying.
I think I have gear issues ....

Yes I think we will see something from Nord, continuing what they are offering with slight modifications/additions like they always did. I don’t think they will release a completely new designed product, so nothing groundbreaking as I mentioned a few posts above. Maybe really the Electro 7 with some enhancements over the Electro 6 but still same concept and base technology, and of course not backwards compatible as usual :|

That was interesting! He said it in no uncertain terms: "I'm happy to report they *will* have new products this year." Seems like if someone from Nord (or the distributor) leaked that to him, it must be an Electro 7, and not some wild new product. It will have sliders instead of knobs for volume. Maybe independent effects, with some new reverbs. Possibly 1GB for sample synth. Maybe dual pianos and dual organ engines? Similar to how they upgraded the Stage and the Grand, but without eating into those flagships too much. Oh, and it will cost more.

They seem to have some creative salesmen: Every year another type of leak.

Im guessing Nord will be formally introducing the Nord Grand 2 (even though it's been out for a bit) and really pushing that. Maybe we see an Electro 7? Either way, we can know that there will be some great artist performances... I always love watching those.

My guess is Electro 7 with improved keyboard action Fatar TP/110 on the Electro 7 HP. A little bit more RAM and maybe the mono/legato voice function found on Piano 5. I will consider buing if the keyboard action feels better than the "jumpy" TP100 I have today...
