Hi folks,
I received my piano monitors v2 today and installed them on my NP5 using the provided brackets. As soon as they are powered on they produce a static, white noise. Not too loud, I can hear it (in a totally silent room) as soon as I am closer than ~1,5meters.
Volume of the noise is constant, not depending on source (it's still there if I unplug everything and only power on the left speaker, all cables detached).
Keyboard and monitors are on the same power outlet.
Otherwise they do their job, and as soon as there is input on the speakers the noise can't be noticed anymore - still it is annoying to not having "complete silence" when there is no input.
I am aware that a bit of static noise is considered normal, but in comparison to my Teufel ultima 40mk2 im using at my entertainment system it is far louder - and those are like 10 times bigger.
I am 99% sure that it is a static white noise, since it's very different from a transformers humming/buzzing.
Anybody having the NPMonitors V2 as well:
Is this considered normal on studio monitors /the Nord monitors? Should I return them or am I only gonna receive the same amount of noise again and have to wait a couple of weeks if I go that way?
. Thanks for the help!

Re: Nord Piano Monitor v2 static noise
I also received my Piano Monitors V2 today and am also noticing this very quiet, high pitched static noise.
It sounds exactly like the description above (independent of the volume of the input signal and of which socket I use).
Are there any other users of the speakers who can confirm this?

Re: Nord Piano Monitor v2 static noise
Quick update from my side: My dealer has sent me a new pair of monitors. They also make a slight noise, but it's white noise without that nasty high-pitched "hiss/beep".
I also compared it with my Neumann KH120 monitors, which have about the same noise level - and I can live with that.

Re: Nord Piano Monitor v2 static noise
Hi! Late reply, we just installed the monitor v2 today and was surprised by the noise level at first. Then realised that these are active speakers set to max level output!
Compared to the similar sized, much cheaper Presonus active speakers (with volume control) the noise is horrible.
If they had a volume control we could have turned it down and used the volume on the stage 4 to get a usable indoor playing level.
Will try to find if there is a mod to add a volume control or just return them!
Please let me know if you heard about a way to fix this.
Thank you!
