Hello everyone,
I am sequencing the Nord Drum 3p with a Digitakt.
When playing the Pads, I can get a different sound when hitting harder, indicated by the red triangle above the green triangle of the channel.
I assumed this was related to velocity, but I cannot replicate this with midi sequencing. Even when the midi velocity is set to 127, it still only plays the standard sound and only the green triangle of the channel is lighting up. Any ideas what I am missing?
Everything is else is working like a charm!
Thank you dearly

Hi and welcome to NUF.
I am not a ND3P owner but I can suggest this: did you try to monitor or record what ND3P is sending via MIDI when you hit that "peak" (to see if it is just Note ON with a certain velocity or maybe some other CC/message)?

Hi,
It's the same with the Nord Drum 2, no peak level indicator blinking with MIDI notes at velocity 127, so I'd say this is by design..
Cheers,
Albert
