Nord Lead 1/2/2x - who is using it?

Post by doctorno »

Hello everybody,

thank you, Johannes, for introducing a Nord Lead section to the Nord Stage forum.

I wonder, who is using a Nord Lead 1, 2 or 2x around here. Are you using it along with a Nord Stage or Nord Electro? And which version are you using?

After I had used a Nord Modular G2 for a few years, right now I am playing a Nord Electro 3 and a Nord Rack 2. These are my only "keyboards" aside from an old Roland "Homepiano". My main instrument is the (electric) guitar.

I think that the Nord Lead was not only the first but also the best sounding "virtual analog" synth ever.

Kind regards
Markus

Hi!

I'm using a Nord Lead 2x keyboard on top of my Nord Electro 3, a setup I find ideal for almost every role a keyboard player must play :)

The Nord 2x is the only Nord instrument I have. I would love to use it with a real piano because you can't download the software library to it. Anyone know how to get those sounds onto the 2x lead? Thanks

It is impossible to get these sounds onto the Nord Lead 2x. The NL is a virtual analogue synthesizer without any samples. Its purpose is pure synthesis.

I bought an Electro 3 61 on the strength of its Organ and piano sounds. I was using it with a Roland AX-Synth which is cool, but has mostly poor samples. I heard the Nord Wave and had to have it. These two instruments cover it all for me-

Yes, me too! Mostly I add layers to my E3HP, since it is no Stage2.

Hi,everybody,I just want to let you guy's now that today in 2012 with all the new analog hardware synths is coming out I bought me a new nord lead 2x.
This because I know that they are working fine without any or even one problem and you have everything a synth needs and its a hands on synth, all the knobs are there in front of you.
I spend Months reviewing synths over and over on the internet and came to the conclusion that this one is the best for my purposes and money .
I had a 2X rack in the past but I sold it and afterwards I regret it so hard.
I wasn't that much experienced with synths and I made a stupid mistake selling that one.
Now after working with a lot of other synths I now better.
I'm happy that I have one before they would discontinue it.

DIscontined? Not Yet. Clavia has broken the record producing the synthesizer to be in production the longest time of all and they want to make in a little harder for the competion to break it again! Would be a good thing to make the 20 years!
