The main dial of my Nord 3p has come loose since some heavy touring and less than perfect storage/transit.
I have the correct screwdrivers to open the unit up.. but before I go ahead and try that, has anyone any expeience with this problem or another that involves physically opening the unit up, and can they offer any guidance.
i live rurally and dont have the money really to ship it off to a professional so was hoping I'd be able to fix this myself, but looking at it, I don't even know how to open it up! (other than the fact I know I can unscrew the red bass plate)

Hi Kal-czr,
If only the plastic knob is broken you won't need to open the unit up, you just pull it off, find a replacement knob, can even be a different one, as long as it fits. Check these spare parts: https://syntaur.com/keyboard.php?keyboa ... _Drum%203P
If the encoder itself is damaged or came loose, the unit has to be opened, you'll need have the right replacement part and know how to remove and solder such components.
Best of luck!
Cheers,
Albert

The fingerboard is plastic (on ND3P purchased 2022) and can be easily removed from the encoder shaft by pulling
for Naughty Nord 4P ... if the fingerboard shakes and does not fall off the shaft, the entire encoder body will probably be loose
