Apparently you can download samples to the computer cache without the keyboard and then speed up uploads: backup, bundle

A even better possibility for the future, if the NSM could download the Nord samples from the servers and not the keyboard. That’ll be great!!

I tried it with NSM v9 but it did not do anything without a Nord being connected - how did you manage to download samples without a connection to a Nord?

I have the mac version of NSMv9. I started downloading a bunch of piano sounds I didn't need because sometimes I don't have access to wi-fi, but ultimately decided against doing so because Nord releases minor revisions of their pianos. However, I don't know where to find all those files to delete on my mac - and I'm a bit starved for storage. I tried to use a directory tool to find where they're stored but I'm having a bit of trouble. Does anyone know where the pianos and samples are stored locally?

Check the NSM 9 Preferences in the Edit menu, there you can see the file cache default path and also clean it.

You need to use Organize mode (better if with Dual View active), then use right click or Edit menu

Organizing your programs
Nord Sound Manager lets you rename your sounds and programs quickly and associate them with categories on instruments that support this.

The Organize Mode lets you move, duplicate, rearrange and rename your sounds and programs. You might want to put them in chronological order for the next show, or perhaps arrange them after in a special order that only makes sense to you and a select group of friends.
