How many programs total on Electro 6D?

Just a question about how many programs total there are on the Electro 6D. Specs say 400 programs with 8 banks but my Nord Sound Manager says I have 240 programs. I have 15 banks A-O with 16 programs each. Banks P-Z are empty. So I was wondering if I'm missing something? I updated to the newest V2.64 OS recently. Thanks in advance!

The manual (page 7) says:
"The Program area is located at the center of the panel with an OLED
display in the middle. One program contains complete settings of every
parameter on the panel and is stored in the program memory of the
Electro 6, with enough room for 416 programs.

Programs are organized into 26 banks, labeled A-Z. All programs can be
edited and replaced as you wish."

So probably you have not saved anything in the extra banks?

I think you are probably right. I think I got confused at the wording on Sweetwater's website. The specs description there says - "Presets: 400 programs with 8 banks" So I was thinking maybe I was missing 160 programs lol Thanks for the reply!

It may well be that Sweetwater have just copied the nord electro 5‘s wording after the launch of the 6, because 400 sound banks, divided in 8 banks starting from A, and each being numbered from 1 to 50, is what I have in my electro 5D 61.

Hi,

you can check it yourself, just download the factory restore file for the Nord Electro 5 from Nord‘s website and save it to your computer, then rename the extension of the file from .ne5b to .zip

After that unpack/extract the zip file into a new directory. Go into this directory and you will find a folder there called „Program“, which contains separate folders for each bank where you will find which/how many programs were shipped with the Nord from the factory

To be honest, I can‘t remember anymore. I don‘t keep factory preloads after listening to them. If I‘m not completely wrong there was approximately one half empty, but forgive me, it was in 2015 that I bought the NE5.
