Midi settings NS4

I would like to use the NS4 to control the automatic accompaniment of the Korg PA5x on the NS4 (left hand). I have split the NS4. Left side with EP9 sound and right side with B3 sound.
Which midi settings are necessary for the NS4 to control the auto accompaniment of the Korg on the NS4? Can anyone help me which settings I need to make?

You need to configure one of the Synth layers as External, set it to the MIDI Channel of the PA5x accompaniment (see PA5x manual for that) and assign it to the same zone of the EP9 (Piano Section) Layer

I don't quite understand why you have to use a synth layer. I only use EP9 for the left hand and B3 for the right hand. Can't you assign external to EP9?

Because on NS4, not having a dedicated Extern Section like on older models, it is the Synth which has an "Extern Mode" to do that job (see NS4 manual Chapter 8 https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/def ... tion-K.pdf )

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. "Control the automatic accompaniment of the Korg PA5x on the NS4 (left hand)" is what @maxpiano described. But in that case, there is no need for an EP9 on the NS4 for left hand use - as you probably want to use the PA5x accompagniment, and that has its own sounds.

Or is it something different you try to achieve: Use the PA5x accompagniment only as an expansion to your left hand playing on the NS4 and want to loop it back into the NS4 to finally play NS4 sounds?

Yes, that's exactly what I did. I only want to control the PA5x automatic, but use the sound from the NS4.
