This was my reply on the 27th April:

Hi technlgyst,

Thanks a lot for letting me test your iOS app on my iPhone 13 pro, the app works fine, I now can hear the pedal noises more clearly than on my Nord Piano 5. The app adds more realism to your pianos in question of Pedaling.

Hello Stefan!

I have and Stage 3 compact and would like to test it! Sounds interesting.
I also have de triple pedal, but would be interested to see how a Single pedal work with the noise session too.

Thank you!

I would love to test it too, for iOS, iPhone or if it would work with my MacBook Pro that I use with the Nord software. I've got a simple cheap sustain pedal mainly for space down by my stand. Nord Stage 3, 88. Please advise how I test this?

Hi Nordine,

Great that it works, happy to hear! Apparently the pedal noise algorithm hasn't changed on the Pianos at least. And of course: thank you for testing, much appreciated! I've updated the table. Note that the volume (as in decibels) of the pedal noises are also adjustable on your Nord itself. The volume/velocity setting in the app determines how hard the pedal is "stomped".

Cheers!

Hi aureliopenna,

Thank you for offering to test the app. However, the Nord Stage 3 has been tested already (and is compatible), so I do not need more testers for that particular instrument.

Hi FishFreak,

The app is in principle only available on Android and iOS (so iPhone and iPad), but as I understand apps made for iOS can be run natively on Macs nowadays. I haven't tested this yet, might do that in the future.

What you need and how you can use the app with your Nord to generate pedal noises is written in the first post of this thread. However, the Nord Stage 3 has been tested already, so I do not need more testers for that particular instrument.

Sorry for the delay, unfortunately I couldn't test the app until after my vacation.
The following settings were tested:

1) Nord Stage 4 73 (OS v1.24) with iPad Pro 11 inch (OS v 17.4.1) connected via USB A/B with MOKIN USB C adapter.

2) Nord Stage 4 73 (OS v1.24) with iPad Pro 11 inch (OS v 17.4.1) connected via Radial Keylargo with Camelot app for iPad.

The Dynamics Pedal Noise app works without problems with both settings. The options of the Nord or the app can be used for the type of effect (volume, character).
Thank you Stefan for the opportunity to test and use the app :yourock:

Kind regards
Reiner

I already sent the info to Stefan : works fine on Stage 2EX (OS 3.00).
Will have the ability to test it on a Piano 4 and also a Piano 2, will keep him posted.

Just wanted to share that my configuration was using my iphone and the Widi Master, meaning that the Stage was connected wirelessy via MIDI over Bluetooth.
This is quite interesting as you can quickly configured the app on your phone (noise volume, sensitivity...) and once you're happy with the settings, keep the iphone in your pocket and play your instrument freely, without cables and worries !

That's great to hear, thanks for posting! So even though Nord made a new Triple Pedal unit for the Stage 4, the algorithm to get pedal noises still hasn't changed.

Yes indeed, you did, and thank you for that. :) I have updated the table in the first post to indicate confirmed compatibility. I would be happy to hear about the compatibility of the Piano 2 and 4 whenever you have the opportunity, but I think it's just gonna be a formality as it makes no sense that those algorithms would be any different from the Piano 5 or Stage 2, 3 and 4.

The setup you used is quite interesting, I actually didn't know that the app would support such a wireless solution, but that indeed seems a very convenient way of setting things up. Thanks for sharing!
