Drawbar settings NS3 compact

Post by t0f75 »

Could anyone please tell me, how to display the actual drawbar settings when changing to a programm with organ ?
I used a NE5 before and by pressing the Lower or Upper button I could check the drawbar settings.
Thanks.

You should just see them on the main NS3 display, upper/lower on NS3 mean Slit A or B so you will see the settings of the currently active slot.

Yes, I see them but only the drawbar position and not the numbers like 888000000 on the NE5.

Ah OK, when you move a drawbar you see the numbers (alternatively, if you don't want to change the value, you can use the Monitor button, press it before moving the drawbar)

Ok, tried this but when I keep the monitor button pressed and move the drawbar, it jumps immediately to the value where it physically is and I can't see the saved value of that drawbar.

That's true and I don't think that you will be able to get what you are looking for. There is one way by using the Nord File Viewer and loading the program into it, it then will display all parameters of the program including the values of each drawbar setting.

However, this is "offline" and probably not what your looking for?

OK, probably I remembered the wrong thing about Monitor working for drawbars too, anyway if you move a drawbar you see the values and an "E" (Edited) shows on the corner of the screen, if the value is not the saved one, so you may "seek" the right one with the drawbar(when you reach the saved one the "E" will switch off).

Another trick is to move a drawbar which is at 0 (if any) so it is easy to take it back (just move it to 1 then back to 0)

you may be able to do what you're asking with Touch OSC. I believe it can be configured to send and receive drawbar values which should then display them when ever you swap programs or change a drawbar setting.

I think (s)he is looking to see the initial drawbar values when calling a program, not what changes when moving the drawbars
