Connecting an ipad and playing sound through Nord
I'm a real MIDI novice - I've connected an ipad to my NE6 and am controlling the Mini Moog app with the keyboard. However the sound is coming out of the ipad - can I get the sound to come out of the keyboard? Or do I need to run a line from the iPad to the mixer?
Thanks
Sonny

Hi, you could connect headphone jack to the Nord's 3.5mm ext. Input.
I play Sounds via Garageband and Midi, where the audio output of my iPad is connected to my Nord

Hi,
your sound is produced inside the iPad. So you have to get it out from there. Maybe you still use some sounds from your Electro, so you need to have your two sources mixed. As Helmut states, you could feed it back to your NE6 and have it mixed inside the Electro - but without any means to adjust. Or you use an external mixer (which has dedicated controls for that) and direct both source there. It's up to you.

If you are using an iPad Pro with no audio out, how do you get the sound out of the iPad?

If it has a lightning connection, you can use a "Apple Lightning to 3,5 mm Jack Adapter"jcamp4 wrote:If you are using an iPad Pro with no audio out, how do you get the sound out of the iPad?
If it has an USB-C connection, you have to use a "Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Jack Adapter".

Re: Connecting an ipad and playing sound through Nord
I'm doing that today. Using that connector, there is substantial noise coming from the connection. I've tried it with my iPad Pro 2023, and iPhone Pro 15 MAX. Both produce a ton of WHITE NOISE static.Berretje wrote:If it has an USB-C connection, you have to use a "Apple USB-C to 3.5 mm Jack Adapter".
Any ideas?

I'd rather use a usb-c hub and a good Class Compliant USB Audio interface (what I do with my iPad Pro 2018 and a Yamaha AG03, with which you can also mix the audio of the Nord)EnjoyRC wrote:I'm doing that today. Re: Connecting an ipad and playing sound through Nord
I switched to a MOTU M4. USB-C direct to iPad or iPhone. Buss powered. Headphone out to NS4 monitor input. PERFECTLY quiet!!!

I connect my ipad (and control my ipad sound app) using the Korg iPlug MIDI/Audio interface, back to the monitor input of my Stage 3.
