Hello Nord forum users,
After having browsed this forum as a guest user for all kinds of information over the past couple of years, I now have registered, as I have something to share.
What?
I have made an app that allows the triggering of dynamic pedal noises with a simple switch-type sustain pedal (so a binary switch, non-continuous pedal). That means you do not require a separate and expensive Triple Pedal unit anymore for that added bit of piano realism. I have done this by reverse-engineering the pedal noise triggering algorithm used in the Nord Piano 88.
The app is available on both Android (7+) and iOS (12+), check the links below.

Is my Nord compatible?

Do I need anything to make it work?
Not so much, and probably you have everything at your disposal already. You need:
- your Nord
- a switch-type sustain pedal
- an Android or iOS smartphone or tablet/iPad capable of USB-OTG (On The Go)
- a USB-cable connecting the USB-To-Host on the back of your Nord (the square-ish connector) to the USB-port on your smartphone/tablet (for iOS: a Lightning to USB camera adapter cable)
Questions?
Let me know and I'll be happy to help.
Cheers!
