Nord Triple Pedal
I finally broke down and replaced the sustain pedal to the triple pedal. Although the triple pedal is way overpriced, It's a welcome addition to the play-ability of NS3 as a piano. I highly recommend that Piano-centric players look for a used or open box TP, it's in a completely different league than the pedal that comes with the instrument.

Re: Nord Triple Pedal
Well, it is certainly better than the pedal that comes with the NS3 compact.. , but then again i am not short of sustain pedals...
a question.. while i can appreciate its value for piano playing, what would push me over the edge would be if the sostenuto pedal also worked on the synth part?..
thanks

Re: Nord Triple Pedal
If your NS3 compact came with a pedal, it will probably not have been from Nord. Or it was a give-away - it's usually not been part of the package for the Compact.
Concerning sostenuto: It does apply to the synth engine as long as sustain is enabled. It doesn't apply to the organ engine, though - even with sustain enabled. Checked it out just a moment ago with my NS3C and latest OS.

Re: Nord Triple Pedal
sorry for the poor humor attempt..the NS3C didn't come with a pedal..
thanks for the info tho, the use on the synth is a sweet extra so i suspect a triple pedal is in my future.

Re: Nord Triple Pedal
HI, I have the same problem with the sostenuto in triple pedal, organ section does not hold the tone, while synth yes. What to set in system? I cannot belive that the NS3 dos not enable this function.
Thank you very much

Re: Nord Triple Pedal
As already answered before by FZiegler in this same thread, NS3 Organ section (and I guess no other Organ section on any Nord model) does not support Sostenuto/Latch , only Sustain.Jan Fabry wrote:HI, I have the same problem with the sostenuto in triple pedal, organ section does not hold the tone, while synth yes.
