Re: NAMM 2024
I bet the keybed will be the same but obviously with the kawai updated pcb, greatly marketed. Which I already have in my grand1 having mounted the sparepart myself for correcting the malfunctioning original one. And a better component than the old one it is at the end, I have to say.
Sure it will have 2 piano engine and other new subtle options like dynamic compression.
None of these apply to a pure pianist though.
But what I will have more than this is my precious old legacy velocity curves from 1.54 firmware.
Please Nord, prove me wrong.
I have the money...
(For something more and better, that is)

Re: NAMM 2024
Maybe I'm too harsh. Having rate PLUS amount for effects is really welcome (more strange those were missing than that they be present now to say the thruth).
Also maybe combining 2 pianos with a good use of transition can be applicable for a normal piano playing.
But still its strange to market a new top of the line piano iteration with such an old sample no?

Re: NAMM 2024
If the old samples are still, for hardware keybeds, considered superb, I see no reason not to, really. Newer isn't always better, old isn't inherently worse. This is an incremental update, definitely, but that's par for the Nord course, and it's a nice bump in the line's capabilities.ziozeus wrote:But still its strange to market a new top of the line piano iteration with such an old sample no?

Re: NAMM 2024
Yes I'm too harsh. It's a step forward. But still I hope for a new grand sound from here to june when it will be available. The Royal is good yes... But I can't bear those iron hammers on C#5 D5...

Hello can you please somehow show me or make me understand (because my english not the best ) exactly the difference of this updated kawai pcb of grand 2?? I mean what was the problem with these on grand 1??
Ps i also loved the 1.54 version more present dynamics and more reality sounding.. it felt to me like more dynamic velocity steps.
Regards
