Well... just a few posts above:
Rusty Mike wrote:It is just the nature of the action. Once my instruments were out of warranty I did a fairly exhaustive disassembly and thorough lubrication of the mechanism. It is described in this forum, and I performed this on both an Electro 3HP and my current Stage 2EX 76.
So I guess if you do a search on the forum you can find the post(s) that Rusty Mike did:

search.php?keywords=lubrication&terms=a ... mit=Search

Some links here also:

nord-stage-forum-f3/ns3-hp76-mechanical ... 20-10.html

general-nord-forum-f29/hp-key-bed-t10058.html

I seem to recall this being documented also with pictures on here, so using a few minutes searching could pay off better than what I did above :-)

I went through the opening up/lubricating procedure on my Electro 3HP that RustyMike describes. It did help for a short while, but it didn't last for long, and I felt it wasn't worth the effort. When parts of an HP action come into contact with each other with only some lubricant between the parts to make things quiet, the lubricant eventually gets pushed out and you get noise. Certain lubricants with better adhesion might last longer I suspect.

As has been said, it's a trade off which some are happy with and others aren't. Now that Clavia has licensed a top notch Kawai keybed for the Nord Grand perhaps at some point they'll work something out with Kawai to use the Kawai lightweight ES110 keybed, which is quite good and pretty quiet also, in some Nord products.

Hmmmm – disappointing to hear that this is happening with a much newer Electro 6 :| – I thought my squeaking black keys issue with my Electro 2 was just because it was an old unit.

Well I think I am done with the Electro 6 HP. Why do people think it is discussed so many, many times.
The noise hammer mechanism on my electro (after I returned it for a second repair) is coming back and it louder as ever.
Even with headphones on I hear it. People say "you gotta live with it", well not in this price range IMO.

The Nord electro is such a good sounding and beautiful keyboard and it is unbelievable Nord doesn't listen to these comments.
Dear Nord Invest in a silent keybed and you will have a winner.

So I go searching for a alternative (thinking about the Yamaha YC serie)
Any ideas for a alternative with a good keybed are welcome.

You will not have the same problem of noise, but you may have a different one. Both actions can be noisy, but for different reasons arising from their entirely different mechanics.

I bought a used nord 6HP, the drop of the weighted keys, especially the centre ones, was way too loud, very annoying. About a year ago I opened it up and you can see the foam strip easily. It was completely worn. I replaced it with a 6 euro weathering strip, very easy to do. Perfect fix.

I had brought it te a music store, they called nord, it would cost about 600 euro to fix, that gave me the courage to open the instrument up myself
. I am generally happy with the instrument, but it's not as fantastic as I thought it would be.
