Nord Grand document
I bought the NG some weeks ago and I must say I am more and more into it. The sound, action.. It's really a well designed product.
Just playing the uprights and grands without reverb and other effects is a joy. I had to adjust the initial settings of some of the sounds and after that everything was perfect.
I also found setting the volume to 2/3 of full (Nord speakers) gave a volume about the same as the real instruments. Also adjusting the right speaker a bit towards me made difference to the better since it was too weak compared to the bass / left one.
As a somewhat classical inclined pianist and composer I also wanted to know a bit more about the instruments and their origins.
So I took an excellent excel-file compilation by the user FZiegler and added a few more columns and included comments by Nord, picture of the instruments, vendor info, etc., and then run it trough Words "mail-merge" function. (It enables one to output a document from an excelfile and template.)
For anyone's benefit I attach the exported pdf-document. Take it for what it is, it may contain errors. I print it out and compiled a map to have beside the instrument. I like to have a bit knowledge of the sounds, it doesn't hinder my creativity.
Also it's easy to see what instruments is included and whats not. I have yet the Steinway-d to download and test..
Enjoy!
