NL3 Rack - Solo, Layer and Split function

Hi, I am new with NL3 Rack. Unfortunately Solo, Layer and Split function does not work as expected.
Therefore any advise is highly appreciated.
I have connected my Master Keyboard with Ch2 to Midi In of NL3Rack.
In Performance Mode I use 4 programs all receiving on Ch2.
When playing a note, all sounds come out.
With a double click on e.g. A the lamp blinks, all other lights go blank.
But I still hear all programs playing a note !
The same with a Keyboard Split and Layer. I hear always all programs independent of which key I press.
Am I doing anything wrong ? Is there an aspect I have to taken into concideration ?

Hi Coral Cave,

The rack version behaves slightly differently than the key version. Slots are selected by MIDI channel only, regardless of what is lit up or not lit up. If all slot channels are set to 2 and you are feeding midi on channel 2, all slots will respond. You control which slots you wish to hear by setting their respective midi channels.

many thanks for your reply.
Your described behaviour sounds a little bit crazy for me since the provided functions for Solo, Split and Layer are overwritten by the settings of the Midi Channels.
But it's OK - I can live with it - unfortunately the manual does not point out theses differences between NL3 & NL3Rack.

The Midi buttons define how the Slots will react to the Keyboard and a Rack has no Keyboard. Keyboard Split is mostly available on an external keyboard using more than one Midi channel.
Anyway, you should be glad knowing Clavia left out the ill-famous Left most Slot Midi channel priority. In the NordRack(1) it was really troublesome
