Do you tweak it with EQ or ampsim?Nordine wrote:
So strange, how the EP9 sounds brighter on NS4 but better on NS3, I don't have access to a NS3 here, but frankly, the EP9 on my NP5 sounds really warm and so clean. Have you tried with different speakers/headphones?

Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
Not strange the DAC changed on the Stage 4 and Nord has made DAC changes in the past and they change the sound. No I haven't tried other headphones of speakers I have good ones already. It's about understanding what you're listening to so you can tweak if you feel necessary.Nordine wrote:docbop wrote:

Yes and no, I mean sometimes with EQ only sometimes with both EQ and Amp.daniel70 wrote:Do you tweak it with EQ or ampsim?Nordine wrote:

Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
At first I was very enthusiastic about the new Stockholm Sample, but after three weeks of testing, including a gig, where I certainly didn't think it was bad, I have to say: I'll stick with the Nefertiti for now, because it just sounds fatter, more authentic and warmer to me.

Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
I'm also torn between these two. The Stockholm is clearer and more nuanced for sure, but as you say and for the reasons you state, the Nefertiti remains a strong competitor when you are after something warm and 'authentic'. I also keep coming back to the EP1 Mk1 low-deep...
Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
Exactly the same with me: I go back and forth from one day to the next… With a little eq tweaking (a tad of treble boost, a tad of high mid boost at 2 kHz, a little bass roll of), the Stockholm EP sounds and plays really good! Another EQ-setting, which sounds very good to me, is: Treble: Flat; Mids (at 4,0 kHz) +10 or less, depending on your taste; Bass: -4. Perhaps a little bit of drive, compression, vibe and panning - done!maurus wrote:I'm also torn between these two. Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
For a more belly, airy sound i suggest treble about +9 and mids at 6,8 kHz +5. Sounds great to my ears. I find it important to set the velocity sensitivy not to light, otherwise it jumps from mellow to full quite abruptly.

Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
Hello
Long time no write. On my Electro 6 the Stockholm seems to go softer beginning with A5 for about an octave. Does anyone else have that? Or maybe it is only my PA...

Re: New EP, "Stockholm"
I feel similarly, but find it less noticeable than with the EP2 suitcase, for example. I continue to experiment with the i internal equalizer and have found that the highest mid band at 8 KHz gives a very nice bell-like sound.zacier wrote:Hello
