NS3C73 action
I own both a E2 73 and NS3 C73. The action is much lighter on the E2 -real close to my A-100. I really like the NS3 but the action is just so much stiffer. Any way around this? Modifications etc.? I even thought about seeing if the E2 73 keybed would work in the NS3.

Re: NS3C73 action
Not sure if the E2 keyed will be compatible to the NS3 but I’ve seen posts of people changing the springs of the keys to lighter ones, you may try mounting just the E2 springs on the NS3

Re: NS3C73 action
every hammond is slightly different so I wouldn't use your A-100 as a general reference. I have a C2 and a B3 and the action on my NS3C is about the same as both of those.
The major difference is going to be the aftertouch on the NS3 which makes the bottom of the key press a bit spongy.
The E2 keybed will not work on the NS3 as it doesn't have aftertouch.
As Schorsch suggested, if you can source them, you can swap the springs (although finding the specific/correct ones may be a challenge).

Re: NS3C73 action
The AT on the NS3C is no joke! I've played many keybeds with AT, but the NS3C is unique. When I slam my hands down on a big chord, I sometimes think I've broken the keys, but then I just have to tell myself it's the AT sensor! It's pretty wild, it would be my favorite AT of any board, but the lack of parameters to set amount make it extremely touchy. I absolutely HATE the integrated option for making AT vibrato 50cents. When I can, I roll my own vibrato using a synth in pitch mode and the LFO, but it severely limits my synth capabilities.

In contrast, I think the AT in the NS3 compact is pretty much perfect.

Re: NS3C73 action
Any updated info on my issue with the NS3C.Source for keybed springs? I take my E2 out for open mic nights dates, soooo easy to play smears and tapping. It's almost like the NS3 has a different trigger depth point than the E2- and yes the NS3 is set to organ trigger..

Glad I held on to the E2/61.My NS3C is on it's THIRD pitchstick......and yes, it is more effort to play.
Given the state of the industry not long before Behringer makes a clone of Nord......and that OBX-b at 1300.00 so far off Nord's radar it's HILARIOUS!
Wave2 THIS! DUH.
Behringer makes good gear, still use the full size X32 mixer, more innovation than a boutique for sure!
