Help! Sample Editor doesn't recognise my Nord Elec 5 HP
The sample editor no longer recognises my Nord Electro 5 HP when its connected, and I really need to upload samples for a gig! Please help!
We've tried a few things with no success, including:
- using different USB cables
- factory resetting the Nord via the Sound Manager software (we know the USB cable works because its connects to sound manager without a problem)
- using different computers / laptops
- reinstalled the drivers and sample editor software
- installing previous versions of the sample editor and software
- connecting the usb at different stages during power up
- refreshing the drivers
I'm running Windows 10 (x64) and haven't run into this issue before. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Hello, and welcome to the Forum! I'm not familiar with the problem you are having given your Electro is connecting fine to the Nord Sound Manager, however the Nord Sample Editor is not needed - you can upload/download samples directly with your Electo using the Nord Sound Manager. Open NSM, click on "Organize", select the Samples tab, and then drag-n-drop the files you need to load to your Electro to open sample locations. Good luck to you.

Hi and welcome!
You could use USBDeview to uninstall the drivers for that specific vendorID.
1. Unplug your USB cable
2. Uninstall the Windows driver
3. Use USB Deview to uninstall the vendor specific (0ffc) software.
4. Reboot (just to be sure)
5. Install Windows drivers
6. Plug in Nord Electro (this will initialize the drivers again for the device.

jjpolay, do you need to create samples or simply load them to your Electro? Have you had any luck trying the suggestions by Berretje?
