Using USB port (with adapter) to power a tablet ?

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

Using USB port (with adapter) to power a tablet ?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone tested connecting their tablet to the USB port of the Nord ?
This would require a connector male TypeB to female typeA to connect the cable (https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/shop ... Q&usqp=CAc), assuming there is enough power out from the USB socket of the Nord.
I do connect my tablet using USB to the power socket today but was wondering if I could get rid of this extra long cable and hot adapter.

Type B = USB Device ports cannot provide power, only receive it (see details of USB standard on Wikipedia or other technical sites about the difference between Host and Device roles in USB, Host = Type A is the one supposed to provide power and in fact on some keyboards with Type A ports they also provide power, for Flash memories for example, but it may not be enough to power a tablet anyway if not specified by the manufacturer )
