Nord effect section as a “pedal”

Everything about Nord keyboards in general; which one to choose, the sound manager, sample editor, and general discussion about the sample and piano libraries.

Nord effect section as a “pedal”

Post by Antilles »

I’ve been searching now for some time, for a good multieffect unit for my ESQ1 synthesizer. Then I realised that all I needed is the Nord effect section from my Nord Piano 5 as a standalone unit controllable by midi of course so i can do patch changes only in one place… does anyone know if this has ever been considered by Clavia?

Cheers

I think it is in the mind of many Nord users, but hard to tell if Clavia ever considered this, have you considered asking them directly?

Only Clavia knows, on the other hand there are a lot of multieffects units in the market that are as good or better, for example I use a Line6 M9 with my Moog Little Phatty and I am very happy with its quality and versatility.

This would be really cool, and I have thought about it before as well. I suspect it'd sell pretty well as this can obviously apply to keyboardists who don't even own a Nord, but could also be useful to some Nord owners if they wished to layer more than one type of effect from the same section.
