Effect pedal/rack for NL2X ---Any suggestion?

Hello,
any suggestion for effects pedals or effects racks to use with NL2X?
I would like to add some distortion to my synth....
is good practice to use guitar pedal ,as mixer insert,instead of plug directly synth->effects-->PA system

I've done both methods with success, so just try both and see what works best for your levels. The sensitive component is going to be the pedal in this case as it's going to react differently depending on how hot the input signal is. Some pedals overdrive (in a bad way) really easily, so play with it until you have a good sound. The signal path flexibility might be the deciding factor for you - I run all of my keyboards through a Line9 M9 so I run everything to a mixer, then loop in the M9 for that so that all of the signals get processed, but in the past I've run my Electro directly to the pedal first, then mixed everything later.

Impedance should be cared of.
Usually EHX pedals are ok with keyboards.
