I searched for similar issues in this forum but I haven't found anything...
I'd like to use an iPad as external source of sound (app Syntronik). I set the "Scenario 2" as it has described in NE 5D manual.
Here the MIDI parameters:
Local control Mode: On
Channel Global: Off
Channel lower receive: Off
Channel upper recive: Off
Channel upper split: 4
Tha Syntronic app is set on channel 4.
I created a Program and I set the kb split point on F4. All seems fine. The app on iPad sounds and at the same time the lower part of NE5D has an organ sound.
BUT... it happens that other programs with the KB split point send MIDI messages to the iPad app Syntronik, so when I use a program with Hammond organ with a KB split point, this program activate the app sound as well from the upper part.
Please: where I'm wrong? Is there a way to make only 1 program send midi messages to Syntronic on mi iPad?
Thanks
NE5D midi part upper kb split mode in all programs?

Re: midi part upper kb split mode in all programs?
Ciao Ramonn,
I‘m afraid there is no easy way to sort this out. The electro 5 is not able to save individual MIDI settings per program. The first thing that came to my mind is to change the MIDI channel manually between let‘s say 3 and 4, either at the app or in the electro‘s MIDI menu, taking the side where it’s done faster. Fortunately the electro stays at the last changed setting menu, so you would have to toggle between SHIFT+MIDI, dial 4 to 3 and back to MIDI.
As soon as I get better ideas I‘ll come back.
Good luck, cheers from Germany
Edit: I started in this area of Moog apps with the iMini from Arturia and ended up with the Model D from Moog Inc. which I really love. How is yours?

Re: NE5D midi part upper kb split mode in all programs?
I suggest you to use Camelot Pro on the iPad to manage the NE5D and the Syntronic (or any other sonic App/AuV3) together https://audiomodeling.com/camelot/overview/
Camelot can act as a Setlist manager and MIDI Router for both HW and SW sound generators, so you can put the NE5D in Local Off (to use it as a bare master keyboard) and enable receiving on 2 distinct channels for Upper and Lower parts + you can manage free split point(s), layering multiple apps and much more... imho a small but fundamental investment if you want to enjoy using your iPad with the NE5 without headaches.
Alternatives to Camelot Pro are AUM Mixer or (but more limited) iMIDIPatchbay
