Neglected, or virtually bug-free?DJKeys wrote:Yep, it is amazing. A year without a single update. I don't know of another Nord instrument that has been neglected like this one, very disappointing!

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
It has been now 16 months without a single update. There are definite bugs:
1. Midi soft thru non functional
2. EQ Drive algorithm does not work properly as it does in NS3.
3. LFO out of sync when programmed across multiple layers
4 .Filter drive very weak compared to NS3 and A1.
5. Arpeggiator does not send note data out.
Don't get me wrong, I love my NW2, but these things should definitely be addressed-

It makes me wonder how well it’s selling.DJKeys wrote:It has been now 16 months without a single update. There are definite bugs:

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
I would imagine certainly not as well as the Stage or Electro. I think it is a great board and I use it every day, but I was hoping they would at least address the few issues it has. Maybe when the NSMP v4 is released (they have to do that or all Piano 5 owners will be stranded) so maybe they will incorporate some of the fixes with that major release, which covers a number of products.

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
Something really odd that I discovered recently...
In the past I've posted about the main LFO not syncing across layers, regardless of whether grouped or multi-edited. Some other users tried to replicate this on several forums; some could not recreate the bug, and some could. This is separate from the vibrato LFO not syncing which has been universally found to be a bug.
Anyway, I have tested this personally on 3 different Nord Wave units now. The first 2 had issues syncing the main LFO. The 3rd works perfectly. The software version is the same on all (no need to be concerned about that with the lack of an update in over 16 months anyway, right?) and the same procedures were done on all of them from my end.
I'm not really sure what possible explanation there is for this but I found it rather strange...

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
I love my Wave 2- BUT I have noticed the LFO and vibrato bugs. What’s really strange is that it isn’t consistent for me. I will have it not sync some days or my aftertouch vibrato on some patches will sound “buzzy” and then maybe a half hour later or days later after scrolling through other programs or whatnot the bug will disappear. Very strange. If it happens live I just roll my eyes and go with it haha

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
I have tested the LFO sync bug and have reproduced it on my instrument. I rarely would use that feature, so my big issue the the weak EQ Drive algorithm. 16 months without an update and counting, and this was a new instrument in 2020!

Re: Nord Wave 2 introduced :)
I have owned four Nord products over the years. I preordered both the Stage 3 and Wave 2 and love them both. But I really wish Nord would at least release a statement saying that support for the Wave 2 is coming. That’s all they have to do. This lack of updates and communication really makes me rethink being an early adopter of Nord gear in the future.

I preordered both as well and share the same feeling. Just a note to the users would be great.
