@monsterjazzlicks -- I think your mistake was sending your piece to a music critic. They tend to be needlessly critical -- that's what they do.

I found it engaging and interesting to listen to -- it had substance and depth to my ears, and I'm not a fan of the genre. Sort of like a fun conversation between the instruments. But at the same time, it's not mainstream stuff either :)

Hi cphollis,

It's fine man, you don't have to explain yourself. In truth, I really only shared it with regard to the brass-samples I deployed. But at the same time I'm quite happy to receive all feedback.

Interestingly, or rather bizarrely, the critic is a brass player musician! So I was pretty astounded when he negged everything bar the brass-samples! :?
