Bulk importing Nord Stage 3 Presets to Set List Maker

I've recently started to use Set List Maker to manage my, errr, set lists. I paid extra for the MIDI integration so I could have Set List Maker select the patch in my NS3 for me when I pick a certain song.

You can set up Preset to MIDI mappings manually in SLM (like this: http://www.setlistmaker.com/tutorials/sending_MIDI.html), but you can also import a whole bunch at once using a specifically formatted file (described in section "Importing MIDI presets from a data file" at this link: http://www.setlistmaker.com/tutorials/i ... _data.html). I found a file to import Preset mappings for the NS2 somewhere on this forum but couldn't find one for the NS3. After a bit of trial and error I managed to make my own which I've attached to this post.

The attached NS3-import-patches.txt file can be used to directly import the preset IDs (A:01, B:21 etc) from the NS3 into Set List Maker as-is. It creates the full range of Presets from A:01 to P:55 which match the NS3 and, once imported, you can simply select the Preset in your song (eg D:52) and it will change the NS3 to that patch (eg D:52).

I'm generally a Linux guy, so I generated that file with a small shell script (Bash) - I've also attached that in case you may find it useful (I had to give it a txt extension to allow upload here) for your own use cases.

thanks a lot for this! I am using BandHelper, Set List Maker's "big brother" which should be able to import the file as well - will give it a try.

Good luck Schorsch. It would be interesting to find out if it works with BandHelper - I don't see why it shouldn't, but I don't have it so can't test it.
