Ha! the sound of drawbar silence.
my favorite drawbar setting is whatever my kids wind up leaving it at... they love moving those things around when I'm not in the house.
Pianos... the white has become my default for all music. When I want something more mellow with a quicker decay, I use the velvet grand. When I want upright, I use the the black petrof. I really love the tone on that one. But if I could only use one... white wins.

Well I was assuming all drawbars...maybe I'd take a Rhodes.
But I would go 808 000 000.
With full drawbars, if I could only have one setting, than it's Neptune's Lounge all the way - 800800088 (fast rotary)

I'm a big Black Upright fan too. I've got the Amber loaded because you HAVE to have the Amber loaded, and I've got the Mellow and Saloon in the cheap seats.
Grands I have White, Bright, Velvet, and Studio 2. I've consciously limited myself to only four pianos in each category - one Nord preset row, so to speak. I think too many choices leads to indecision. If I want to try a different piano, than one has to go - swapped. Also when you limit yourself to four you can get more of the larger samples.
Four Rhodes are EP1, EP4, EP5, and EP8. I also have four slow rotary B3 and four fast rotary B3 presets. It sounds obsessive but it works well with the Nord preset scheme, easy to memorize and believe me, it's plenty. Too many presets and samples becomes a mess.

Sounds like you've pretty much got it covered. Just a half decent Thai gong sample short of rounding out the big 4.

Re: Grand Piano Poll: which one is the best?
what's up old never ending thread? I'm here to say that at last night's gig in the middle of one long extended improvisation (grateful dead-birdsong), I wound up cycling though 4 different pianos. white, velvet, amber (all XLs) and a M Silver grand that I just re-loaded just to reacquaint myself with it. I wound up using it the most as the tone on the upper end just seemed to cut the most without being too bright. Now I want to dump the velvet and load up the L or XL version of the Silver.
I've heard some people say they prefer the L over the XL for some samples. I'm going to try out both but anyone have any preferences (other than storage space?)
