W2 arp range question

Greetings!
Probably a dumb question, but can anyone shed light on the arp range settings, esp the decimal values?
I can’t quite figure out what is going on between 2.2 and a 2.3, for example.

Hi-

The decimal values actually add more notes to the arpeggio, not another whole octave. Hold a chord and listen while you go through the decimals. When in Gate mode, it controls the envelope settings. From page 18 of the Manual:

RANGE / ENV
The range which an arpeggio spans is determined by the RANGE knob.

At the 0 setting the arpeggio only uses the actual notes played on the
keyboard. In Poly mode this translates to the played note or chord
being retriggered and repeated as is. Apart from the the values of even
octaves, ranging from 1-4, values between each octave can be used as
well for arpeggios ranging for example 2 octaves and a fifth.
When the GATE is active this knob controls the envelope (ENV) of the
Gate. At the zero position the envelope is very soft, producing a smooth
amplitude modulation. At the maximum position the envelope is very
“hard”, in effect turning the sound on and off in accordance with the
Gate tempo and pattern.

Hey, thanks for the response. I've looked at that part of the manual many times but it's a bit hard to know exactly which notes are being added. I would think that it should be a bit clearer, like 2.1 adds an octave and a third, 2.2 adds an octave and a fifth, etc... I'll have to listen a bit closer to figure it out
