Will C2 update with the C2D new features?

Hello, the first time i see the new C2D i thought "the new features of the C2D will be available also for the C2?"
I think that the hardware is quite the same and will be a nice improvements for the C2 owners because is from 2010-06-08 that Clavia don't update the organ firmware.

If I am not mistaken, the basic "organ engine" in the C-2 cannot be changed over the USB. But I don't know if that extends to key-click, key-release, and Leslie sim. Which are the main differences, unless you're thinking of grafting the C2D's drawbars on to a C2 Perhaps those can be updated over the Web, but I tend to think not.
Anyway, I'm not sure the C2D is an improvement. Sunday night I had a plate of fried chicken on one side, and a Big Gulp on the other side of my C2s controls. Try that with a C2D, and all you'll get is a mess on the floor.

I love those two open staging surfaces on the left & right sides of the controls : something the c2d most definetly does not have. I would NOT velcro anything on them though .. . i don't want them to look anything like my 2 octave midi pedalboards: i have put so many different stomp boxes on there that the 3rd generation velcro stains.........

I think that the update is possible, obviously the upadate must be created for the C2, every time you update the firmware you update the organ engine completely.
With the v1.20 update Clavia inserted the second rotary model 145 that is a part of the engine.

Well, I sure hope Clavia will update the C2 with the new leslie, keyclick and certainly the added bass to the lower registries.

I very recently switched from hauling old hammonds with broken keys to a clonewheel, after years of doubting.
In my opinion the C2 has it's own character, it's the way the hammond should have evolved, I just love my little red organ with its drawbuttons.
The major setback is the lack of bass in the lower registries, seems to be even a sample error.

I think the C2 has all rights of existance parallel to the C2D. Here Nord have this product with it's own character, and either you love that or you don't. Everyone who loves it allready has a Nord, those who don't have hammond-suzuki or mojo, or.....

It would be very dissapointing when the customers who appriciate Nord's own identity, design and innovative controls become the losing party because Clavia prefers to add the "I have always hated Nords because they are red and have nor real drawbars" customers to their clientele.

The C2 is almost perfect in it's simulation, except the bass on the lower registries and the leslie sim is no match for a neo ventilator.
With those added, I think the C2 will be a future classic with a legacy.....
I wouldn't mind paying for the update, if that would be necessary to make it profitable to do for Clavia.
Take an example on how Korg updates their products for free with really major updates, f.e. Korg M3 => M3 expanded........
