Stage 3 Aftertouch External midi Keyboard

I'm new here and i need your help !

I want to purchase a new midi keyboard to connect it to my Nord Stage 3 as Dual Keyboard.

First question : Do you have some recommandation for a Midi Keyboard ?

Second question : Maybe i will buy the Komplete Kontrol S61 from Native Instrument, this keyboard have the Aftertouch. Do you know if the aftertouch of this midi Keyboard can work with the morphing of the Nord Stage ?

1) my personal preference goes to Novation (SL or X-station), but there are of course others

2) yes sure, the Nord Stage responds to aftertouch also via MIDI (Channel Pressure message) and uses it in the same way as the internal one (including morphing).

it would be helpful to know which Stage you've got. And what do you want your 2nd keyboard for? Synth or organ playing? I have a Komplete Kontrol S61, but you can't really play piano with it. In my eyes it's more to be used in synth sounds.

And it's not really a MIDI keyboard: You even can't configure the MIDI channel without a PC connected. The same with the buttons. It's a nice DAW controlling unit only.

And the last point is about the Stage: As far as I know, you can't morph any sound given to the second keyboard in DualKB mode - not via aftertouch, mod wheel or whatever. Or did I overlook something?

I finally bought a Novation SL MK3, a very nice midi keyboard that i recommend !

And as you said, the Aftertouch of the midi keyboard can control the AT of the Nord stage 3 (including morphing), it work great !
