Stage 3 vs Dexibell Classico L3

Hi all,
I have a Stage 3 and really happy with it - I use it at home and church. The Dexibell Classico L3 looks great for replicating a church organ tho. I'm still a relative newcomer to the NS3 and synths in general, but the usability of the Dexi L3 looks easy. What I would like advice on is.......would I be wasting money on a Dexi L3 - will the NS3 do the same? I'm drawn by the organ sound and the ease of selecting stops on the Dexi.
Any thoughts anyone pls?

Peteques, please explain which Stage 3 you have! That makes quite a difference if you want to play organ-like.

The Nord Pipe Organ engine in the Stage 3 is really pretty much a toy, so if your primarily interested in Pipe Organ sounds the Dexibell is going to be a big step up from the Stage 3.

There are couple of decent Pipe organ samples that can be loaded into the synth engine, but that's not really the same thing.

The Dexibell L3 seems to be a good organ controller - but would need a second keybed and pedals for full use, too. If you've got a NS3C, you might even put them together to play. The L3 not only has good controllers, bu also 7 different temperaments which is great for classical church music (the Nord doesn't have that).

I don't know the instrument, but I read a note saying only part of the sounds were acceptable: The reeds seem to have not enough samples, so you hear the sounds switching from one sample to the next while playing a scale. As of beginning 2019, the sounds strongly needed an upgrade - don't know if something happened meanwhile. Someone recommended a Viscount Cantorum Duo (with two keybeds and better sounds). That's what some german Thomann comments say.

I have the NS3 88. Ive never seen the Viscount Cantorum Duo but will look into it. I think you're right about 2 keybeds and I think you can add pedals to the Duo also.

offers more nice instruments (combination of fully and limited polyphony), internal speakers, approx. 15 kg

Is it selected?
The next appropriate step could be to play on the selected instruments, gain an opinion on the keyboard, control and listen to them.

I solved the same task a while ago, I tried NC2D, Hammond SKX and Cantorum Duo.
Finally, I am happy two years with NC2D and more than a year with Johannus ONE.

Select is not easy, I know.

Johannus One is the twin brother of the Dexibell Classico L3: both have the same chassis and the same TL2 engine.

If you want the best organ sounds you have to go the Hauptwerk route... You could also put some of the free Hauptwerk stops samples that you can find in Piotr Grabowski's website in the Nord sample editor and load them in the Nord Stage... But it's a lot of work to do.
