Live mode button is to close to Song mode button 1...

Post by hernjov1 »

Is anyone having a problem with the live mode button being to close to the Song mode button 1? I'm currently using Song mode when I gig, and when playing a song with a fast patch change. I'm at times hitting the darn Live mode button sending the song I'm playing in left field! Wonder if Clavia can mute the Live mode button while playing in song mode so this doesn't happen... Notice how close these buttons are to each other... They probably should have put the Song mode button by the 1 thru 5 buttons.... Does anyone use the live button anyhow? I love playing tunes with multi patches in song mode! Thoughts appreciated....

I use Song Mode exclusively on-stage and frequently switch between song parts with no issue. I've also started using Live mode to have certain samples available between and during songs. I've never accidentally hit the Live button and definitely like having it active at all times. That being said, maybe a different texture on the gray keys would be helpful if you are feeling around the control panel without looking.

I have never had this issue either, as the buttons are different colors. However, you may want to program your songs at only the top level with no parts 1-5. (I never really have more than two patches for a song anyway). This way, you can select he next song with the Page Right button instead-

Absolutely. I use Live Mode all the time.

One thing to note is that if you accidentally hit the Live Mode button while in Song Mode you can just hit the Live Mode button again quickly and it will bring you straight back into Song Mode.

I have made the mistake before ... no biggie - easy to switch back.
