It's a little boring, I don't know, when I play I kind of don't feel it's alive. When I listen to it, I like it. Maybe due the Compact keybed/Action. I can't tell, I just feel like it has no live caracter as the others.. I prefer it than Royal (on NS3 at least).

It's harmonics are more compact then the 3D Grand. High velocity brings out more harmonic overtones. Try setting keyboard touch to 3.

Update: I've got my keyboard touch set to 1 on with this piano sample.

Another Update: I started with Large, exchanged for XL and went back to Large. It may be my particular amp setup or that I originally tweaked for the Large download, but I am preferring the Large over the XL.

Keyboard touch to 3 makes velocity easily too high, not really what you would like when playing an acoustic piano (in fact on NS3 Compact Nord suggests curve 0 or 1 for Grands/Uprights).

Having said that, I have started using the White Grand, I find it nice and OK for some type of musical situation, when its "shimmering" works for the song (try playing Imagine with it, for example ;-) ), but not as a general purpose one (for that I keep the Bright Grand as my preferred choice)

I’ve downloaded the White Grand too. (Large version) I’m going to live with it for a while. It just might be a keeper.

Yes have the same feeling on my NS3 Compact, but it’s really a killer on my NS2EX-88 using the XL file. It immediately became my number 1 grand piano, followed by the silver grand

IMHO That's because NS2 sounds better than NS3 and not only because the keybed. All pianos sound better on NS2 in my opinion. They just sound dry with no ressonance and harmonics on NS3. But other may not think this way

Maybe cause the NS2 and NS3 ( i've been told ) have not the same kind of converter....

It would be great if someone owning both could do a proper A/B test.

I did, via MIDI, back when I had both here.

I vastly preferred the 3.
