Nord Lead A1 Editor VST for Apple MAC and Windows
Re: Nord Lead A1 Editor VST for Apple MAC and Windows
I don't seem to be able to see all four slots in performance mode using the Synthmania A1 editor, only slot D. What am I doing wrong?
Re: Nord Lead A1 Editor VST for Apple MAC and Windows
I bought this editor recently and posted the question above about why I can’t see all four slots (a b c) in performance mode. If you are having the same issue I thought you’d be interested to know I wrote Synthmania support and recieved a prompt reply.
According to support, this editor works only in program mode, it can’t see a performance. I’m disappointed, I hoped to use it as a visual guide to some of the very excellent performance patches I’ve downloaded from the Nord site.
Technically it does work for me, however, in that I can send the ccs to change the virtual knobs for one program. The editor is missing some functions (like the velocity to amp switch). I can’t really imagine this software to be very useful at all, but I believe the issues are with the A1 and MIDI implementation rather than the editor itself.
I thought the one layer limitation was a restriction of the demo version. I should have asked before purchase, but I think it would be a good idea to make this clear on the Synthmania site (and here as no one praising this editor mentioned the severe limitations). Buyer beware.
