There's probably a simple explanation for this, but I can't figure it out. I was looking at using Sound Manager to substitute my EP pianos on my Stage 2 73 with the new enhanced versions that just became available. I wanted to find out where the various EP's were used in what programs, to see how much time it would take to substitute them.
When I connected to Sound Manager and clicked on the various EP's, I found that they appeared in a number of programs. For instance, EP1, which is the MK1 Low Deep piano was used in 14 programs, except it's not!!! For instance, Program A 11:5, Conti Breakfast, shows the EP in the A and B slots, but when I checked on my Stage 2, it's not there. This happened time and time again with the programs I checked. Lord in Time, a Jon Lord organ program at A 4;2...same thing. Shows EP's in both slots but they are not there on the Stage 2 itself.
Any ideas about why this is so? I checked around and the Sound Manager listing of programs associated with Synths and Samples and didn't find the same thing...it only seems to happen with the Pianos. Bottom line, if something is going on here, I am reluctant to substitute the new EP's in all these programs, when right now, in so many cases, the EP's are not there.
As always, any help will be greatly appreciated. Best forum out there!

Re: Sound Manager: PIanos in Programs are Wrong?
A program ALWAYS consists of two organs, two pianos, and two synths, regardless of whether the sections are switched on or not.
So even a pure organ patch will have piano samples associated with it.

I really appreciate this information. So if I substituted the new EP's for the existing EP's, they would not be active in the programs containing the previous EP's? I didn't want to have to go through all these programs and de-activate the new EP's.

Correct. But should you, in the heat of the moment, decide what you really need to do to meet the musical moment you’re in is to activate the piano section of an existing program, whatever piano sounds are saved in that program will be the ones suited up and ready to go in.Nordolympia wrote:I really appreciate this information.
