Updates worthwhile?
Updates worthwhile?
Hi all,
When i got my NS3 a few months ago, it came shipped with OS1.46. All works well except a slight glitch on reverb section - no major issue though. All the time on these forums, when anyone updates, they find major issues - loss of volume / voices etc. So my ques is - is it worth me updating from 1.46 to the latest version or is it wise to leave well alone? Thoughts pls.
thx Pete

Re: Updates worthwhile?
Depends on what you need or want - the new EPs and the related new effects have been a very strong argument for me to update to v2.02, and I did not experience any issue with it in the way I am using the NS3

Re: Updates worthwhile?
1.46 wasn't completely free of any faults either. If you are happy with what you have, you can of course just stay where you are. But maybe you should try to upgrade and see what you're missing out on. Personally I find the new EPs and filters a giant leap forward, and have had no major issues with 2.02, so the risk you run is (I think) small. You can always downgrade again, if you want. Start by locating a copy of 1.46 and make a backup of your programs first.

Re: Updates worthwhile?
The new EPs and dyno filters are more than worth any (tiny) potential downside.
I think I have gear issues ....
